15. Ill met by bar light Oberon meets Titania in the company of the fairies. The hostesses are now fairies, but they seem as listless as when merely hostesses during Bar 1. Opening Frame. At the same time, they avert their faces from the quarrelling Oberon and Titania, as in School 10. Fairies in Circle, where the fairies were also turned away, but timidly. Unlike there however, the Bar Fairies do not appear chastised, but as if wanting to be alone with their own problems -- and their drinks. A sense of fellowship between the hostesses and the proprietor's wife is projected on to the relationship between Titania and the fairies, which becomes clearer later in Bar 21. Fairy lullaby.
